There are 8 definitive playoff teams in the eastern division of the NBA. I'd be willing to put 100 bucks on it. The teams are in order from best playoff chances for this year (in my opinion) are: Miami, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Orlando, New York, Atlanta, Indiana. The order of this list is certainly debatable, but all of these teams will certainly make the playoffs. These are all good teams, and I'd say the top 8 of the east are as good as the top 8 in the west, but the depth of the east isn't as good. This hasn't been true since the Bulls were winning.
